North Port commission voted 2 – 3 in favor of not firing Peter Lear.  Peter is the City Manager that was having an affair with another city employee.  This despite the findings that Peter violated the ICMA Code of Ethics. He was put on paid administrative leave, while the situation was investigated.  I put that information out the other day, which  you can read by clicking — >>> here.

Many were surprised since the report concluded that Lear’s made management decisions that resulted in preferential treatment of Nicole Galehouse.  Nicole is the person that Peter had the affair with and is the Planning Division Manager for the City of North Port.
