City of Venice seeks public input for Floodplain Management Plan Update

The City of Venice is updating its Floodplain Management Plan and is seeking input from residents, business owners, and property owners to help identify flood risks, concerns, and opportunities to improve community resilience.

Community participation is a vital part of the planning process. The public is encouraged to complete a brief survey that will help guide future flood mitigation efforts, improve preparedness, and identify projects that can reduce flood impacts throughout the City.

In addition to the survey, the public is invited to attend the next Floodplain Management Planning Committee meeting:

The Floodplain Management Plan serves as a roadmap for reducing flood risks, protecting lives and property, and enhancing the community’s ability to prepare for and recover from flooding events.
