Suncoast Man Arrested for Sex with 13-Year-Old Girl

An 18-year-old man was arrested by Major Crimes detectives for having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

On April 29th, 2026, detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit arrested Kevin Finscue Camacho (12/02/2007), of Port Charlotte, after learning that he had sexual intercourse with a child.

Through investigation, detectives found that Camacho came to Punta Gorda to meet a 13-year-old girl, with whom he’d been communicating online. The incident occurred in December 2025 and was eventually discovered by the victim’s family.

While interviewing Camacho, he admitted to detectives that he had sexual intercourse with the child multiple times and sent harmful, sexually explicit electronic material to her.

“I am really fed up with having to make arrests of this nature. It’s not complicated – do not engage in sexual activity with children. Period. Now, at just 18 years old, this young man is facing serious felony charges and will pay for his disgusting acts. No child or their family should have to go through this, ever. My heart goes out to the victim and her loved ones as they work through the aftermath of this nightmare.” –

Camacho was transported to the Charlotte County Jail, where he is charged with Lewd or Lascivious Battery (victim 12 years or older, but less than 16) and Traveling to Meet a Minor After Using a Computer to Lure a Child (both are second-degree felonies). He is also charged with Transmission of Material Harmful to Minors to a Minor by Electronic Device and Possession of Child Pornography (both of these charges are third-degree felonies).

Camacho is out on bond after being arrested on a Sarasota County warrant two weeks ago on charges of child pornography. He is still being processed at the time of this release.
