City Of Venice

Starting the first week of implementation June 1, 2026, the City is updating residential and commercial can collection routes to improve efficiency and service reliability.
NOTE: Residents will still have 2-day-a-week collections for garbage and recycling, but your collection days may change.

Key Changes
Wednesday and Saturday service is eliminated to align with landfill hours and improve neighborhood safety.
Commercial dumpster routes remain unchanged.
New routing technology will be used to reduce vehicle wear and streamline operations.

Why the Change?
As our City grows, these updates consolidate routes to reduce miles driven and allow drivers to become experts in their assigned zones. These shifts also ensure better access to maintenance and support a better work-life balance for our staff.

What to Expect
We appreciate your patience during the first few weeks of this transition as our drivers learn their new routes. Your cooperation helps us remain responsible stewards of city resources while providing more dependable service.
