CITY OF NORTH PORT, FL — City of North Port residents will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary admission to the North Port Aquatic Center on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Splash Into Summer and MayDay Drowning Prevention Expo! Admission is available on a first come, first served basis and no registration is required. Attendees must show proof of residency for admission, such as a state-issued ID or utility bill. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. The facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to enjoying free admission, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about local safe water practices and meet Josh the Otter, who has an important lesson about water safety for kids. Various vendors will also be onsite sharing educational resources for drowning prevention.

“This is the fifth year we will be hosting this event and each year we are excited and honored to be hosting the event. It is our mission to teach kids how they can be safer in, on and around the water,” said Devon Poulos, Aquatics Manager with the North Port Parks & Recreation Department.
