Sarasota Police Department Partnering with Robert L. Taylor Community Complex & Gulf Coast Lions for K.O.P.S.

The Sarasota Police Department is partnering with the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex (RLTCC) and the Gulf Coast Lions, a national pro basketball league, for K.O.P.S. (Kids and Officers Promoting Solidarity).  Registration is now open for youth ages 12 to 16.

 

The after-hours youth program will be hosted at the RLTCC and is open to 50 participants ages 12 to 16 on Wednesday nights 8 p.m. to midnight during the holiday winter break starting Dec. 22nd with a final event scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:30 a.m.  Activities include basketball, volleyball, wiffleball, video games, pool tables, and more.  Food and refreshments will be provided each week.

 

Registration is required and available online at www.LetsPlaySarasota.com  Registration can also be completed in person by visiting the RLTCC at 1845 34th Street, Sarasota.  Participants who attend every session will receive a t-shirt and complimentary individual 30-day membership to the Robert L.
