Potential scam alert. We have received a number if inquiries regarding groups of individuals, often with children, panhandling in high traffic areas in the City recently. Our intel suggests that these individuals are traveling to our area in large organized groups and are not in dire need. Please be cautious. If you do see these types of activities, please give us a call at 941-429-7300. NPPD has a dedicated Community and Youth Services Unit which can get anyone who has a real need the proper help and resources.

We know our residents are giving and we just want to make sure we are not being scammed by those looking to take advantage of our caring community. We also want to provide the proper help to those who really need it. Thank you!
