City offices to observe Christmas, New Year’s holidays; Garbage, recycling collection schedules unaffected  | City of Sarasota

City of Sarasota, FL:  City administration offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas and Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 for New Year’s Day.

 

Garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup schedules for City residential and commercial customers will not be interrupted.

 

Holiday hours of operation at City of Sarasota recreational and cultural facilities will vary:

  • Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive: 941-263-6386
    Closed:     Dec. 23-26, Jan. 1 and 2
  • Payne Park Tennis Center, 2050 Adams Lane: 941-263-6641
    Closed: Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1
    Dec. 23 and 26, Jan. 2: Open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th St.: 941-263-6562
    Closed:  Dec. 23-26 and Jan. 1
    Jan. 2: Open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail: 941-263-6799
    Closed: Dec. 24 and 25
    Dec. 23, 26 and Jan. 2: The Box Office will be open regular hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
