West Blalock Park at 401 Pensacola Road, Heritage Park in the West Venice Avenue median to the beach, Prentiss French Park at 500 Manatee Court, and Centennial Park at 200 W. Venice Ave. have been cleared of leaning trees and downed branches from Hurricane Ian and are safe for pedestrians on the park walkways. Off the pathways, citizens should be mindful of tree stumps and possible debris.

The City Public Works Department is still working to clear Venezia Park, 450 Nassau St. S., and John Nolen Park, 425 Palmetto Court, for citizen accessibility.

Venice Myakka River Park at 7501 Laurel Rd. E. remains closed by Sarasota County Parks and Recreation at this time due to flooding.
