We’ve had an ongoing problem with illegal dumping on the east side of town. Over the weekend, officers caught someone in the act of unloading more than 500 pounds of concrete in that area. Sergiy Panteleymonov was arrested and charged with illegal dumping of more than 500 pounds, which is a felony. There are County services and our very own Solid Waste Division which can help get rid of the trash. If you have large items you need picked up, drop Public Works a line: 941-240-8050. We’re out on the east side keeping an eye out for any illegal activity, so… do the right thing.
