Englewood: Deputies uncover 32 grams of Fentanyl-laced Methamphetamine on boat anchored near Stump Pass, 2 arrested – Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office

Marine Patrol deputies arrested two individuals after locating 32 grams of Meth on a vessel near Stump Pass and Thorton Key in Englewood.
At approximately 11:35 the afternoon of June 8, deputies attempting to serve a warrant, contacted two individuals on board the 35 ft. red and white sailboat that was anchored near Stump Pass and Thorton Key. The two individuals on board were identified as Gabriel Wagoner (03/27/1981) and Frances At (07/18/1984).
Deputies placed Wagoner in custody on the Sarasota County warrant for Violation of Probation and began to search the vessel. Throughout the vessel, deputies located an array of drug paraphernalia and 32 grams of Fentanyl-laced Methamphetamine.
Both Wagoner and At were transported to the District 3 office and interviewed by members of the Narcotics Unit. At that time, Frances At admitted to selling the narcotics for profit.
“The arrest of these individuals has undoubtedly prevented numerous overdoses and the loss of lives. Overdoses are occurring far too often across the nation,” states Sheriff Bill Prummell. “We will continue to clean up our community of dealers, and of the poison they push,” he adds.
Gabriel Wagoner faces the following charges:
- Amphetamine-Trafficking more than 14 grams
- Violation of Probation of community patrol
- Possession or use of Drug Paraphernalia
Frances At (07/18/1984) faces the following charges:
- Amphetamine-Trafficking more than 14 grams
- Possession or use of Drug Paraphernalia
- Methamphetamine- Possess with intent to sell
