Sarasota in discussions to procure EcoRover Chairs, so that handicapped individuals can better access the beach (video)

City of Sarasota: ACCESSIBLITY – An EcoRover Chairs demonstration was held last weekend at Lido Beach and our ADA coordinator was there to check it out firsthand. These amazing all-terrain powerchairs make areas of the beach accessible to someone with a mobility disability who otherwise may not be able to traverse the sand independently. The City has been in discussions with the local company owner and is assessing the feasibility of procuring an EcoRover for public use at Lido Beach. The event was sponsored by the SportsAbility Alliance.
