Gov. Ron DeSantis Slams Media For Ignoring Waukesha Massacre But Characterizing Parents As ‘Domestic Terrorists’

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) blasted the corporate media Monday over its dishonest reporting about the Waukesha Christmas parade massacre.
In a press briefing touting his state budget proposal that includes $1,000 bonuses for law enforcement and first responders, DeSantis ridiculed the media for trying to spin the Waukesha attack by black supremacist Darrell E. Brooks as an accident caused by a driverless SUV.
“One of the things that’s been most frustrating to witness in terms of law enforcement is how anti-law enforcement narratives are consistently spun by these national corporate media outlets,” DeSantis said.

“They will swoop into a community, they will create a false narrative, and then they kind of just leave and they never correct the record when what they are saying is obviously false.”
“And we’re seeing that right in real time with Waukesha, Wisconsin in terms of what happened there,” he continued. “You will look at some of these corporate outlets, and they will say that ‘an SUV drove into a parade of Christmas folks. And you’re thinking, ‘Really? Is that how it works? The SUVs drive by themselves? This just kind of happened? And they so ‘Oh, this was a big accident.’”
The media’s spinning an SUV as the Waukesha culprit was so egregious that The Washington Post ended up deleting its tweet about it and CNN was ratioed on Twitter.

“You never actually hear the discussion about who committed this. What was the motivation?” DeSantis noted, adding Brooks was a “career criminal” with “anti-white animus” who “shouldn’t have been allowed on the streets.”
“This was an intentional act. And it seems like for corporate press, they’re more apt to characterize a parent who goes to a school board meeting to protest bad policies as a domestic terrorist, than somebody who intentionally rams an SUV into crowd of innocent people.”
“Let’s just be clear. This was not a car just driving in. This was an attack by a felon who did that, who should not have been on the streets,” he added.
Brooks is facing six counts of intentional homicide filed by the Waukesha County District Attorney.
