America’s top military general defended teaching the left’s critical race theory at West Point, saying it’s important for officers to understand “white rage.”
Army Gen. Mark Milley, the Pentagon’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, appeared Wednesday at a budget hearing held by the House Armed Services Committee to explain that men in uniform at the U.S. Military Academy need to “train and understand” their racism.
“I do think it’s important, actually, for those of us in uniform, to be open-minded and be widely read, and the United States Military Academy is a university, and it is important that we train and we understand,” Milley said.
“And I want to understand white rage, and I’m white, and I want to understand it.”
Milley followed up his buffoonish remarks by suggesting that “white rage” was possibly what motivated the January 6 Capitol riot.
“So, what is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building, and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America. What caused that,” Milley said.
“What caused that? I want to find that out. I want to maintain an open mind here, and I do want to analyze it.”
Milley then defended reading other radical literature from the founding fathers of communism.
“I’ve read Mao Zedong, I’ve read, I’ve read Karl Marx, I’ve read Lenin, that doesn’t make me a communist,” Milley said.
“So what is wrong with understanding, having some situational understanding about the country for which we are here to defend?”
“And I personally find it offensive that we are accusing the United States military or general officers or commissioned noncommissioned officers of being, quote, ‘woke’ or something else, because we’re studying some theories that are out there that was started at Harvard Law School years ago.”
This comes just days after US Navy Adm. Michael Gilday, chief of naval operations, made “How to Be an Antiracist” by anti-white racist Ibram X. Kendi required reading for sailors.
“There is racism in the Navy just like there’s racism in our country, and the way we’re going to get after it is to be honest about it, not to sweep it under the rug, and talk about it,” Gilday told members of Congress, adding that sailors need to be able to “think critically.”
Fox News host Tucker Carlson slammed the military’s creep toward communism last week, calling its far-left indoctrination among the its ranks “depressing” and “scary.”
“We need the military. The Pentagon isn’t the Department of Education, it’s not the DMV. We have to have it. It’s essential to the survival of the country,” Carlson said.
“But the commissars in the Biden administration don’t care. They are not
slowing down. They are intensifying the political purge in the ranks.”
