North Port:  Biscayne is shut down after a shooting incident

This evening at approximately 8:45pm NPPD and NPFR were dispatched to a shooting call near the intersection of Biscayne Blvd. and Porto Chico Ave. One victim has sustained injuries. Suspects are possibly known to the victim. We believe this is an isolated incident. We do not believe there is a current threat to the nearby community. However, this is a very active and ongoing situation.

Biscayne is currently shut down in the area. Avoid it or expect delays. Any info on this incident please call 941-429-7300.
