North Port: Samantha King gets 13 years for a DUI that led to the death of an elderly couple

Samantha King was arrested in 2019, after the 19-year-old slammed into a car driven by George and Rose Almeder. They were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
There is a video report below, which covers how Samantha had been ut drinking in Venice with friends. She smashed into the couple’s car, which was caught up on in traffic from a spring training game at the Braves stadium in North Port.
Samantha accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 13 years in prison, with 17 years of probation.
