FEMA’s 90-day period for public appeal on Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) has started!

City of North Port

 

There have been modifications to portions of the City of North Port that are influenced by storm surge, high tides and wave action in addition to freshwater inputs. If adopted, these FIRMs will replace the corresponding effective November 4, 2016 FIRMs.

 

Appeals and comments must be submitted in writing by June 1, 2021 with data that negates or contradicts FEMA’s preliminary FIRMs, and sent to FEMA’s Mapping Partner AECOM and copied to the City of North Port’s Stormwater Manager.
