Venice: Opens the pier, but the jetty remains close due to significant erosion

City of Venice closures UPDATE 11/12
• The Children’s Interactive Fountain in Centennial Park will reopen today at 9:30 a.m.
• The Venice Fishing Pier is open.
• Humphris Park and the South Jetty walkway will remain closed. The Humphris Park parking lot area and the South Jetty walkway have both sustained significant erosion damage from Wednesday’s storm surge event due to Tropical Storm Eta. This park is not safe for resident use or access at this time, and the City asks that residents avoid the area for their safety. The City will be assessing the damage and working on a restoration plan over the next several days.
