Police arrest Eladio Garcia Gasca in connection with the theft & slaughter of a horse on the Suncoast

Following months of investigation, Eladio Garcia Gasca (DOB: 08/07/1970) has been arrested in connection with the theft and slaughter of a horse on 12/01/19 in the 5800 block of Buckeye Rd, Palmetto, Florida.
Detectives used surveillance video (link below) and other investigative means to place Garcia-Gasca at the scene of the crime on the night in question. With the assistance of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Garcia-Gasca was taken into custody at his home in North St. Petersburg on 10/15/20 and booked in the Pinellas County Jail.
He is charged with Grand Theft and Animal Cruelty.
