SARASOTA COUNTY
Sarasota County is hosting a third public meeting about the Blackburn Point Bridge on Thursday, June 11, from 4:30–6:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 129 S. Tamiami Trail, Osprey.
This open-house-style meeting will provide an update on the alternatives being considered for the Replacement Preliminary Design and Environment (PD&E) Study. The presentation will begin promptly at 5:15 p.m. A question-and-answer session will immediately follow the presentation, along with an opportunity to provide feedback. Registration is not required.
Previous public meetings were held on Aug. 19, 2025, and Nov. 12, 2025. A formal public hearing is tentatively scheduled to occur in fall 2026 at an upcoming Sarasota County Commission meeting. Following the public hearing, the PD&E Study will proceed with direction provided by the board.
Individuals unable to attend the meeting in person are invited to provide feedback through the project webpage, by email to capitalprojectsmeetings@scgov.net, or by mail to Sarasota County, Attn: Timothy Farrell, Project Manager, 1001 Sarasota Center Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34240.
For more information, visit the project page or call 311 or 941-861-5000.
About the project:
