North Port is giving trees away in honor of Arbor Day

It’s time for another tree giveaway! 🌳
 
In honor of National Arbor Day, Natural Resources will be leading another community tree giveaway on Friday, April 24, from 4-6 p.m. While this is a shorter time frame than the first giveaway, we are doubling the number of trees being given away, with time for people to pick up a tree after work.
 
Event details:
– Trees will be available for pickup on the rear end of City Hall.
– Trees will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with one tree being given per household.
– Please bring proof of residency to pick up your tree (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.).
– Staff will provide resources on how to plant your tree and maintain it.
– Trees will be available while supplies last.
 
Please note: This project is funded by the Environmental Protection Fund. The fund is supported by City mitigation fees tied to land‑clearing permits and development activity, as well as code enforcement fees for unauthorized land clearing.
