Man hospitalized after house fire erupts along Morning Dove Lane in Englewood – GC News

Just after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, we were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 1700 block of Morning Dove Lane. First-arriving crews found heavy smoke and active flames coming from the residence. Our firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control.
Unfortunately, the home sustained significant fire damage to the carport area, along with heavy smoke and water damage throughout the remainder of the residence.
A male resident was injured and transported to the hospital in critical condition. Our thoughts are with him and his loved ones during this difficult time.
Fire Marshal Brooks and a State Fire Marshal are currently investigating the fire.
Responding units included Battalion 7, Engines 71, 72, 73, 74, Tower 75, Chief Easton, Deputy Chief Benett, and Charlotte County Fire & EMS Rescue 13.
