This gem is fugitive Dylan Mostacci. Earlier this week, our Special Enforcement Team (SET) began actively searching for him in the Wellen Park area on multiple outstanding felony warrants. They were juvenile delinquent possession of a firearm (now an adult) and two counts of aggravated assault stemming from a shooting incident in Jacksonville. He is also suspected of involvement in additional serious crimes in North Port, which remain under investigation.
SET detectives worked diligently to locate Mostacci. With the assistance of the FDLE, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Florida, and other partnering law enforcement agencies, Mostacci was captured on Friday and arrested in Jacksonville, where he was booked into jail on the charges.
Fugitive apprehension cases of this nature are often complex and labor-intensive, particularly when an individual takes extensive measures to evade law enforcement. These investigations frequently require coordinated, statewide efforts among multiple agencies.
Mostacci is now behind bars due to the diligence, cooperation, and coordinated efforts of the Special Enforcement Team and our law enforcement partners.
