Police hope that a new video will help solve a Suncoast homicide case

NEW VIDEO RELEASED – HELP SOLVE THE HOMICIDE OF YOLANDA FLORES: On November 12, 2024, Yolanda Baxcajay-Flores, a mother of four, was shot and killed as she pulled into her driveway in the 2100 block of 15th Ave E. Yolanda was not the intended target. Over the past year, detectives have identified several persons of interest. However, we need more information in Yolanda’s case and urge the public to come forward.
The home-security camera video we’re sharing is one of many gathered during this investigation. At 7:28 p.m., a sedan parks near the intersection of 14th Ave E and 21st St E. The driver remains in the car, while three people get out and run toward 15th Ave E. Within seconds, over 30 rounds are fired from multiple weapons. The suspects return to the car and leave.
