Most Sarasota County Government offices closed May 26 in observance of Memorial Day

SARASOTA COUNTY – Most Sarasota County Government offices will be closed Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.
Closed on Monday, May 26:
- All Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources offices and facilities.
- The Florida Department of Health – Sarasota County.
- Sarasota County University of Florida Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences Extension and Sustainability offices (UF/IFAS).
- Sarasota County Breeze Transit administrative offices and ticket outlets, standard routes, the Breeze 76 Flyer and Breeze Plus.
- Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources recreation facilities and the Knight Trail Park pistol and rifle range.
- The Bee Ridge Chemical Collection Center, administrative offices and the Re-Uz-It Shop, 8750 Bee Ridge Road.
- The Central County Landfill administrative office, 4000 Knights Trail Road and the Jackson Road Chemical Collection Center, 250 S. Jackson Road.
- Sarasota County Tax Collector.
- Sarasota County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller.
- Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections.
- Sarasota County Property Appraiser.
Operating normal hours on Monday, May 26:
- Curbside collection services for trash, recycling and yard waste for residents in unincorporated Sarasota County will not be affected by the holiday and will remain on the regular pickup schedule. Because collection times vary, residents should place materials at the curb by 6 a.m. the day of pickup.
- Disposal operations at the Central County Landfill, 4000 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis, and the Citizens’ Convenience Center, 4010 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis, are open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. All customers unloading by hand should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing.
- The Breeze 77 Siesta Islander and Breeze OnDemand will operate normal hours.
