If you are dumping trash in Charlotte County, you will get arrested

CCSO Public Service Announcement:

If you illegally dump your trash in Charlotte County, you WILL be arrested. Mauricio Cortes Mira (06/27/1997) learned this on Monday after he was found to have dumped hot water heater boxes, empty kitchen and bathroom faucet boxes, PVC and copper scrap, and miscellaneous plumbing material on Gibbon Street in Port Charlotte.

Our Environmental Investigator, Det. Traniello, does an excellent job in tracking individuals who think they can skirt the law and leave their waste wherever they want.

“Charlotte County is paradise, and we aim to keep it that way. Det. Traniello is committed to that mission and he is like a dog with a bone when it comes to finding those responsible for trashing our streets and vacant lots. He is very good at what he does and our community is better for it. Consider this a warning to anyone else who thinks they can dump their garbage in my county.”
