96 unit apartment complex slated for the South Venice area

This will be considered at the 9-17-2020 planning commission meeting: Rezone Petition (RZ) No. 20-13

 

The rezone petition proposes to rezone a 6.51 acres property along the west side of Jacaranda Boulevard, east of Englewood Road in Venice from OPI (Office, Professional, and Institutional) to RMF-3

 

(Residential, Multi-Family, 13 units/acre) in order to build up to 84 units on the property. The Applicant has stated an intent to build 96 apartment units using the half dwelling unit provision for up to 24 of the units.
