Garage catches on fire in Englewood

Englewood Fire

At 4:14 a.m. Sunday morning, we responded to a reported fire on Bridge St.

Engines 73, 71, Truck 75, and Battalion 7 responded with with our mutual aid parters from Sarasota County Emergency Services. Our crew found a fire in the garage. Thankfully, all occupants of the home were outside and no one was injured.

Due to the quick actions of our crew, the fire was extinguished and contained to the garage.

After an investigation, Fire Marshal Brooks determined the fire started as an accident due to an electric issue.
