Sarasota road rage incident leads to a firearm being discharged

On February 25, 2025, just after 10:00 AM, an incident took place in the area of 4th Street and N. Osprey Avenue in the City of Sarasota, in which a firearm was discharged as a result of a road rage altercation. At this time, there are no reported injuries.
Authorities currently have no description of the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators, along with Crime Scene Technicians, were on scene and have completed their investigation.
The roadway has now reopened, and the area of Osprey Avenue is no longer closed.
