Sarasota Police SWAT Team Executes Search Warrant, Arrests Teen for Firearm Possession

Sarasota, FL – February 21, 2025 – In an early morning operation, the Sarasota Police Department SWAT team executed a search warrant at 2015 South Tuttle Avenue #6, leading to the arrest of a 19-year-old suspect on firearm-related charges.

 

The warrant, carried out at approximately 5:20 a.m., stemmed from an investigation into the unlawful possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent. During the search, detectives discovered a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun inside one of the apartment’s bedrooms.

 

As a result, Fabian Rodriguez, 19, was taken into custody and charged with being an adjudicated delinquent in possession of a firearm. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the investigation.

 

The Sarasota Police Department continues to emphasize its commitment to removing illegal firearms from the community and ensuring public safety.
