The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public about a new sexual offender – James Billingsley
SCSO
Billingsley was convicted in 1985 in South Carolina of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and sentenced to three years in prison. In 2016, he failed to meet sexual offender registration requirements, serving an additional 180 days behind bars. Billingsley again failed to meet registration requirements in 2019 and received a suspended sentence with credit for time served. He recently relocated and reports his address is 1709 Racimo Drive in Sarasota. Billingsley is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, and because the original offense occurred out of state prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply.
We are advising the public that James Billingsley, DOB 06/16/63, has registered as a Sexual Offender living on Racimo Drive in Sarasota. Because the original offense took place prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply. Read details here: https://t.co/47FoBX0DxG pic.twitter.com/jokfUXdcgC
