
Sarasota County offices closed Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day

SARASOTA COUNTY – Most Sarasota County Government offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, for the national observance of Presidents Day.
Closed on Monday, Feb. 17:
- Libraries and Historical Resources’ branches and office.
- Breeze Transit administrative offices and ticket outlets will be closed.
- UF/IFAS Extension Office in Sarasota County.
- Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources’ recreation centers and the Knight Trail Park pistol and rifle range.
- The Bee Ridge Chemical Collection Center, administrative office and The Re-Uz-It Shop at 8750 Bee Ridge Road, and the Central County Landfill administrative office at 4000 Knights Trail Road will be closed. The Jackson Road Chemical Collection Center at 250 S. Jackson Road remains closed indefinitely due to the impacts from Hurricane Ian.
- Sarasota County Tax Collector.
- Sarasota County Property Appraiser.
- Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections.
- Sarasota County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller. Services can be accessed online at www.SarasotaClerk.com.
Operating normal hours on Monday, Feb. 17:
- Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County.
- Breeze routes, OnDemand, and Plus will operate regular hours. will operate regular hours.
- Curbside collection services for trash, recycling and yard waste for residents in unincorporated Sarasota County will not be affected by the holiday and remain on the regular pickup schedule. Because collection times vary, residents should place materials at the curb by 6 a.m. the day of pickup.
- Disposal operations at the Central County Landfill at 4000 Knights Trail Road and the Citizens’ Convenience Center at 4010 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis are open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. All customers unloading by hand should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing.
