NORTH PORT, FL — The City of North Port invites the community to kick off the holiday season at the highly anticipated Poinsettia Parade & Festival, presented by Quality TV and Resurrection Pools respectively, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024! This year’s theme, “Poinsettias in Paradise,” sets the stage for a day of family-friendly fun, festive cheer and holiday magic. This event offers free admission, parking and a shuttle service from 1:30-9 p.m. at the Morgan Family Community Center for those seeking an additional parking option.
The festivities begin with the Poinsettia Festival, presented by Resurrection Pools, running from 3 to 7 p.m. at City Center Campus (4970 City Hall Blvd.). The festival will feature a variety of local food vendors, holiday merchandise, mesmerizing stilt walkers, and an exciting Kids Zone with bounce houses, games and activities for all ages. Families can enjoy live entertainment by Tropical Avenue, create a special craft project at “Santa’s Workshop,” and have a chance to meet the jolliest guest of all—Santa Claus! Snap a photo and share your holiday wish list with Santa from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center, before he joins us for the highlight of the evening.
At 5 p.m., don’t miss the spectacular Poinsettia Parade, presented by Quality TV, where dazzling floats, performers and marching bands will light up Sumter Boulevard in a holiday procession like no other. You’ll be wowed by the creative designs, festive costumes and North Port’s incredible community spirit on full display.
