Venice: Stay off the roads and notes several streets that are still flooded

With winds back at a safe level for first responders, the City’s Tactical First-In Teams (TFIT) have been out since 3 a.m. assessing our community.

The following streets are flooded:

N. Indies Circle

Tarpon Center Dr.

The Esplanade N.

Flamingo Dr.

Villas Dr. & Gardenia Dr.

Harbor Dr. at Sorrento St.

Alhambra Rd.

Castile St.

DO NOT leave to check out what’s going on. Just because winds have died down does not mean walking outside or driving is safe. Down powerlines, nails, debris and ponding in roads could cause serious problems for you or your car. Please don’t leave where you currently are — STAY PUT and stay safe! This not only protects you and your family but also the first responders who are on the roads.
