PGP: On August 16, 2024, just after 3:30 a.m., officers conducted a welfare check at the Mobile Station located at 3139 Tamiami Trail on an individual who was found asleep at the wheel of a running vehicle appearing to be impaired. The individual, later identified as Christopher Francoise of Sarasota, made furtive movements, grabbed items from the car while exiting and then attempted to conceal them. Francoise also resisted officer’s attempts to restrain him.  Follow-up investigation led to the discovery of more than 250 grams of marijuana, 75 grams of cocaine, a large amount of pills, and over $1,000 in cash.
