An arrest warrant has been issued for a Punta Gorda man who fled the scene of a domestic dispute.

On June 13th in the area of Martin Dr. in Port Charlotte, a domestic disturbance was called in to our dispatch around midnight. Deputies responded and discovered that Stacey Wright (10/09/1969) had fled the scene prior to their arrival. He is believed to be driving his gray 2007 Acura RDX.

This individual is certainly no stranger to the Charlotte County Jail, and I assure you we will have a bunk waiting for him once he is caught. If you have any information on his whereabouts, I encourage you to call and report it. I also want to remind everyone that should you see him out and about, do not engage and call my deputies right away.”

SHERIFF BILL PRUMMELL

This is believed to be an isolated incident and a warrant for felony aggravated assault has been issued for his arrest. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Stacey Wright or if you see him, please call the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number (941) 639-2101. You can also submit an anonymous tip via our free downloadable CCSO app or to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477 and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
