SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County has contracted with Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC, for resurfacing portions of Siesta Key.

 

The construction of Resurfacing Siesta Key is part of a Sarasota County-wide roadway resurfacing program. The project includes milling and paving, pavement stripping, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp modifications, curb repairs, roadway base repairs and school zone sign improvements.

 

Construction began May 23, with an estimated completion of January 2025. Construction will occur 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays.

 

Motorists may experience lane closures and should seek alternate routes whenever possible. Emergency vehicles will have unrestricted access at all times. Pedestrians and motorists should use caution while traveling through the area and expect minor delays.
