City Hall to observe Memorial Day; no changes to trash collection schedule | City of Sarasota

City of Sarasota, FL: City administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.
Garbage/recycling and yard waste collection schedules will not be affected by the holiday.
The Bay Runner will operate regular hours with a modified route to accommodate the Memorial Day parade on Main Street.
Holiday hours of operation at City of Sarasota facilities will vary:
- Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex, 2650 Waldemere St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, will be closed.
- Payne Park Tennis Center, 2050 Adams Lane, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th St., will be open from 6-10 a.m.
- Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail – The Box Office will be closed.

Reminder: The City of Sarasota, in conjunction with the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee, will host the annual Memorial Day parade at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, in downtown Sarasota.
The parade will start at Main Street and Osprey Avenue and conclude at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park, located at Main Street and Gulfstream Avenue, where a ceremony will be held at approximately 11 a.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
