Kids to Parks Day: Explore, Play, Discover!
CITY OF NORTH PORT, FL — Join us for Kids to Parks Day! Mark your calendar for May 25, when the North Port Parks & Recreation Department invites you to explore your local parks with three exciting activities at three different parks throughout the day. All ages are welcome!
Start your morning with tennis and donuts at Highland Ridge Park (6225 Kenwood Dr.) from 8-9:30 a.m. Next, head to LaBrea Park (6430 LaBrea St.) to shoot hoops and play games such as knockout and around the world from 10-11:30 a.m. Finally, experience “Try Archery” at the George Mullen Activity Center (1602 Kramer Way) from 2-4:30 p.m.
“We’re offering a variety of activities so everyone can join in, whether it’s one or all three,” said Blake Via, Recreation Specialist. “Kids to Parks Day is a nationwide celebration of outdoor play for all ages.”

About Kids to Parks Day
Kids to Parks Day is a program through the National Park Trust and is designed to encourage children and families to visit their local, state and national parks. According to the National Park Trust’s website, “by discovering our public lands, kids across the country: enjoy outdoor recreation; learn STEM and history; and embrace their important role as park stewards.”
