Humphris Park (South Jetty) temporarily closed for seaweed cleanup 8/26

Due to high surf conditions from Hurricane Laura, the parking area at Humphris Park (South Jetty) at 2000 Tarpon Center Drive in Venice was filled with seaweed overnight.

The park and the South Jetty walkway will be closed for a few hours this morning (Wednesday 8/26) while City Public Works staff work to clean up the mess and ensure safe access to the park. The park is planned to be reopened this afternoon.
