Sarasota Police investigate overnight shooting

Sarasota Police are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight in the 1700 block of 36th Street, Sarasota.

One victim sustained injuries and was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment.

This is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.
