North Port man gets 60 years in prison for 53 counts of possessing child pornography

In 2022, NPPD detectives arrested Richard Deivert on 53 counts of possession of child pornography. This week, he was sentenced to 60 years in prison. 721 months.
Thank you to the State Attorney’s Office 12th Judicial Circuit for helping to hold those responsible for exploiting children accountable.
“If you take part in these types of crimes against kids, we will find out and you will be joining Mr. Deivert,” says North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison.
