Truly Valued Partners to Help Former Inmates Become the “Best Dad Ever”

August 24, 2023 (Sarasota, FL): Truly Valued works to build positive relationships within families by providing parent nurturing education in the community. Parents who complete the program gain skills to successfully reunite with their children following separation while incarcerated and learn to break cycles of abuse they likely experienced as a child.
A father named Sky who took the class proudly shared, “I gained so much knowledge that I feel like I am going to be the best dad my daughter could ever ask for.” He also learned, “children are delicate and need understanding over harmful disciplines.”
Results as of August 2023 include the following:
Success for Nurturing Families participants is defined by 70 % of participants showing improvement according to the Adult Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI) as indicated through pre and posttests.
· 12 out of 16 (75%) participants achieved this target.
70% of participants will show positive behavior changes in two or more of the three pillars of confidence, opportunities, and relationships.
· 15 out of 16 (93%) participants achieved this target.
