Port Charlotte man arrested after deputies find over 400 grams of cocaine in homes – GC NEWS

Yesterday, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at 1346 Beacon Dr. in Port Charlotte. This investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher L. Smith (09-18-80). After a lengthy investigation into Smith and the residence, Narcotics Detectives learned that Smith was dealing large amounts of cocaine throughout Charlotte County. During the search of the residence, Narcotics Detectives located 444.18 grams of cocaine, different types of anabolic steroids, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Smith was arrested and booked into the Charlotte County Jail for Trafficking Cocaine, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of a Prescription Medication without a Prescription, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At the time of this post Smith is being held at Charlotte County Jail on $262,000.00 bond.
