If you victimize children, know this: we will come for you.
North Port Police detectives recently arrested 19-year-old Jayden Boothe, 20-year-old Elijah Ballentine and 19-year-old Ryan Deluca in connection with offenses involving sexual activity with a child. Jayden Boothe was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon in relation to this case.
After receiving a tip that multiple juveniles were being victimized, detectives immediately launched an investigation, working quickly to identify the suspects and move to take them into custody before the behavior could continue.
During the course of the investigation, Jayden Boothe was also charged in an unrelated case with attempted felony murder, aggravated battery and leaving the scene of a crash involving injuries. During the execution of a search warrant at Boothe’s residence, investigators also located illegal drugs, and cash was seized.
“Cases involving the victimization of children are among the most disturbing we investigate,” said Chief Todd Garrison. “Our response is immediate and relentless. I am proud of the work our teams did to quickly identify these suspects and get them off the street.”
This investigation was made possible through the relentless work of our Intelligence Unit, Real Time Crime Center, Criminal Investigations Division, Special Enforcement Team, SWAT Team and FDLE.
All three suspects were arrested and are being held at the Sarasota County Jail.
