Sarasota woman arrested after firing shots into empty vehicle: police. – wfla

The Sarasota Police Department arrested Jasmine Martin, 32, of Sarasota, on Sunday, May 24, in connection with a shooting on Thursday, May 20.
On May 20, Sarasota Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of 33rd Street. Through their investigation, detectives learned Martin fired three shots at the victim’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Martin then fled the area in a red Toyota Camry.
Martin faces one felony charge of discharging a firearm from a vehicle. She is currently being held at the Sarasota County Jail.
