Venice Police investigating a shooting

Earlier today, Venice Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the residential area of Tracino Terrace around 11:30 a.m.
There is no threat to the public; this was an isolated incident.
One male was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital after life-saving measures were performed by responding VPD officers and Venice FL Fire Rescue.
The investigation is ongoing.
