North Port Aquatic Center lifeguard charged with sexual assault of a 13-year-old

On February 2, 2026, at approximately 2:13 a.m., Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies located a black, Toyota Scion illegally parked in the Manasota Key parking lot after posted hours. Inside, deputies found Ian J. Inman, W/M, DOB 11/16/05, and a 13-year-old female both unclothed. Further investigation determined that Inman and the minor had engaged in sexual activity. Inman was arrested, charged with two counts of Sexual Battery on a Minor (12 to 18 years-old), and is in custody at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility. The investigation is ongoing.
