Social Services Division announces expansion of services – North Port

The City of North Port’s Social Services Division is proud to announce an important expansion of services beginning Jan. 1, 2026. The Division is now an authorized full-service site and will be able to directly assist residents with a range of services from the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

In the past, the Division operated solely as a self-service center with limited access. This new capability will allow staff to assist individuals with completing their DCF applications, reviewing case status information and supporting residents with additional DCF-related needs.

Rather than traveling to the Sarasota DCF office for assistance, residents can now receive a higher level of support locally – enhancing accessibility and convenience for families in North Port.
