Suncoast: “You Should Call the Cops” jewelry thief is arrested

“YOU SHOULD CALL THE COPS” – CHAPTER TWO!
BPD rearrested the Bradenton man who stole a $9,000 gold chain from Kay Jewelers last month. In that case, Christopher Dimastrantonio told store employees to “call the cops” before making off with the necklace. Dimastrantonio was released on bond but promptly rearrested on charges of dealing in stolen property and defrauding a pawnbroker.
These crimes occurred in January but were reported only after Dimastrantonio’s initial arrest for grand theft. During his arrest, he picked up two fresh narcotics charges. He’s being held without bond.
It gets worse for Chris. Following his arrests, BPD “called the cops” in his home state of Maine. The Scarborough PD has since issued four violation of probation warrants for Dimastrantionio, stemming from robberies committed there.
